Hello, I'm
Oleksandra Sharaiеvska
Interior Designer & Storyteller
For over a decade, I've been transforming spaces into sanctuaries—not through expensive renovations, but through thoughtful design that honors how we truly live. Welcome to my story.
Chapter One
The Beginning

It all started in a small apartment in Kyiv, where I first realized that the way we arrange our spaces deeply affects how we feel. I was 19, broke, but determined to make my tiny room feel like home.
With nothing but second-hand furniture and a lot of creativity, I spent weeks rearranging, painting, and hunting for affordable pieces at flea markets. The transformation wasn't just physical—I felt lighter, more inspired, more myself.
That's when I knew: design isn't about luxury. It's about creating spaces that reflect who you are and support how you want to live. It's about making every square meter count, especially when you don't have many.
My family thought I was crazy. Why spend so much time on decorating when you're barely making ends meet? But I couldn't help it. Every room was a blank canvas, every corner a possibility.
Chapter Two
Becoming a Designer

At university, I learned the rules—then I learned to break them. Design school taught me theory, but life taught me what really matters: comfort, functionality, and that intangible feeling of "home."
My first real project was for a young family with two kids, a tight budget, and a messy living room that stressed them out daily. We didn't gut the space. We didn't buy expensive furniture. Instead, we reorganized what they had, added smart storage, and brought in light through simple changes.
Three weeks later, the mom called me in tears. "I actually enjoy being home now," she said. That moment changed everything for me. This wasn't just about aesthetics—it was about improving lives.
Over the next ten years, I worked on dozens of projects—from tiny studios to spacious family homes. Each one taught me something new about people, about space, about the delicate balance between beauty and function.
I specialized in what I call "calm design"—spaces that don't shout for attention but quietly support your daily life. Scandinavian warmth meets practical elegance. Less clutter, more breathing room. Timeless over trendy.
Why Felvane
In 2020, during the quietest year of my life, I started Felvane. Not as a business, but as a love letter to all the people who, like me, believe that home is the most important space we'll ever design.
I was tired of design blogs that only featured million-dollar renovations. Tired of advice that assumed everyone had unlimited budgets and unlimited space. Real people live in real homes with real constraints.
Felvane became my way of sharing what I'd learned: that beautiful, functional spaces are possible for everyone. That you don't need to follow trends to have a home you love. That sometimes, the smallest changes create the biggest impact.
"Felvane isn't just a blog—it's a collection of moments, ideas, and dreams for calm living."
Today, thousands of people visit Felvane every month, looking for inspiration that feels achievable. And that's exactly what I want to give them: not fantasy, but possibility.
A Little More About Me
Coffee Obsessed
My mornings start with coffee and Pinterest. Sometimes in that order, sometimes not. Best ideas happen before 9 AM.
Always Creating
When I'm not designing, I'm rearranging my own space. My friends joke that they never know what my living room will look like.
Forever Learning
Design books, architecture magazines, and way too many saved pins. Learning never stops.
Plant Parent
My home is a jungle. Literally. If you can't find me, I'm probably repotting something.
Sketch Addict
Napkins, notebooks, margins of books—if there's blank space, I'm probably sketching room layouts on it.
Home Is Everything
I'm the person who actually enjoys organizing closets and testing paint samples. This is not a job, it's a lifestyle.
Let's Stay Connected
I'd love to hear from you. Whether you have questions, ideas, or just want to share your own design journey, I'm here. Let's create beautiful, calm spaces together.
